Humanized mouse has been establishing to be transplanted human hematopoietic stem cell (CD34 positive cells) into immunodeficient mice. Today, development of the humanized mice using immunodeficient NOG mice are mostly done by transplanting the human hematopoietic stem cells (CD34+) to reconstitute its immune systems. In addition, some reports showed that the human liver, ovary, uterine endometrium and thyroid gland could be functionally transplanted into the immunodeficient mice for a long time. Central Institute for Experimental Animals (CIEA) continues to research and develop the humanized mice that have more closer human immune system and blood system, also the mice that can develop the specific human cells.
